Welcoming 2020

It is a new year and a new decade! While I don’t do resolutions, I thought I would share some ideas we could all incorporate into the next decade. These are attitudes and practices that will make us better people and help us create a better world. It seemed better, rather than talking about what to leave behind, that we instead talk about what we can carry forward. Here are just a mere five suggestions, from me to myself, and to you…

Image: Text on a white cottony background that says, “Clothing and accessories do not have a gender. Wear what makes you feel good & true to yourself.”
Image: Text on a varying blue background that looks like shadow mountains. Text says, “Minding your own health, career, and relationship is better than talking about anyone else’s.”
Image: Text on a light grey background with a mountain in the background. Text says, “Choose to surround yourself with people who build you up & challenge you to be better. Be that friend to them too.”
Image: Text on a navy blue knit background. Text says, “Learn to say ‘No,’ but also learn when to say ‘Yes,’ & don’t be afraid to say ‘I need to think about/pray on that.’”
Image: Text on a light blue background with one lighter blue corner. Text says, “Give & receive generously & graciously. Be kind, but kick-ass against fascism & oppression of all kinds.”

*Yes, these are all Facebook backgrounds, if you’re interested.
